Jordan Wright was seen locked in a tense argument with strangers who made a clear threat in the days leading up to the TOWIE star being found dead

Jordan Wright was caught in a tense argument in the hours leading up to his death, it has been reported. Jordan, 33, who found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, was found dead in Thailand earlier this week. The reality star had moved to the popular tourist destination for a “new start”. But chilling CCTV footage published by The Sun sees Jordan in the hours leading up to his death, arguing with a mystery stranger.

Jordan was caught on camera at 11:37pm on March 12, just minutes before he was seen running erratically back to his hotel in Phuket. In the new footage, a family of three staying at a nearby hotel is seen walking down a path, with Jordan locked in a bitter argument. Local police believe that Jordan was arguing over the phone and are now investigating who he may have been talking to. It’s been reported he said: “Before they come back, let’s get them back in the head and have a f**king shootout.

“You better f**king perform yourself. I’m gonna go for a long time, man, you’re gonna be late for your homecoming.” He allegedly added: “You’ve got to be able to defend yourself. That’s all it takes, yeah, yeah, it’s true, don’t be cheating, alright bruv.”

Police Lieutenant Colonel Chanasin Prateep Na Thalang says that a “foreign family of three” who were staying at The Title Hotel, witnessed Jordan walking on his own. The family said that the late reality star was “drainage canal, shouting loudly as if he was in a frenzied state.”

Thalang added that the family “heard the sound of someone wading in the water,” before the noise went quiet around the time of “midnight”. He added that “no one ran after” Jordan, and no other voices were heard. He said: “The water level in some parts of the canal was chest-deep, and with the darkness and his agitated state, he may not have been able to climb back out.”

However, police do not believe that Jordan was being chased by another person after he was seen running back to the hotel. They haven’t ruled out the possibility that he may have been running away from somebody in a different location when he died.

CCTV cameras and security guards at Hotel COCO didn’t spot anyone else, police have said. They believe that Jordan may have drowned in the water, but his exact time of death is not yet known. They are now investigating his alleged phone call and anybody he may have met in the evening.

Jordan had checked into his hotel at around 7pm on March 12, and his actions until around 11:30pm remain unclear. Jordan arrived in Thailand on December 3 on a Digital Nomad visa, which is often used for people backpacking across Asia.

In a new statement, Lieutenant Colonel Sutthirak Chuthong of Choeng Thale district station said: “The circumstances leading up to the death are quite unclear. It is possible that other people were involved.”
