The little known series is now easier than ever to find and binge watch
A lesser known award winning series that boasts a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes that fans admit to watching ‘until 3am’ can now be rediscovered thanks to HBO Max.
The new streaming service finally launched in the UK this week and while it offers up some familiar titles like Friends and Succession, it also boasts a number of under watched gems. One of those is the comedy series Somebody Somewhere, which originally aired between 2022 and 2024.
All three seasons are now available through HBO Max. Better yet, there are multiple ways to access the new library, which means more ways for people to be able to watch all episodes.
It can be accessed either via its own dedicated streaming platform or as an add-on subscription through the Prime Video platform. There are even more ways too as those who already sign up to Sky TV or have an entertainment pass for NOW also have HBO Max’s offerings included.
So there’s no better time to discover the underrated gem that is Somebody Somewhere. The series follows Sam, played by comedian Bridget Everett, who is dealing with the recent death of her sister having returned home to help care for her while terminally ill.

Sky is giving away free subscriptions to HBO Max with its £22 Ultimate TV bundle, which also includes Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, Hayu, and around 135 channels at no extra cost.
Remarkably, all three seasons of the show have a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes as each have gained a significant amount of praise from critics. The show even picked up a prestigious Peabody Award, which celebrate excellence in quality storytelling.
Following its finale, Jeff Hiller picked up a surprise Emmy for Best Supporting Actor thanks to his performance as Joel. He beat out the likes of Colman Domingo, Harrison Ford and The Bear’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach to win.
Fans who have already seen the series continue to sing its praises including one who claims it is “one of the greatest shows HBO put out” while another claimed it is “one of the best shows on TV. The casting, writing, and acting are all incredible.”
Someone else admitted: “At first I wasn’t sure about this show, as it just isn’t my genre but I love Bridget Everett so I gave it a try. Then I finished the first episode, and the second and the third and next thing I knew I realised I was watching until 3am and season one was over.”
While one person said: “Brilliant, touching, authentic. Could not stop watching. It’s so engaging.” And a viewer’s verdict was: “What a gem of a show! Honestly, this show took me by surprise. In so many ways, it is a commentary of friendship, community, and family and the ways that people grow and evolve together.”
