Natalie Ann Jamieson, who played Amy Barton in Emmerdale, revealed that a lorry hit her car this week, leaving fans concerned for her safety
Emmerdale actress Natalie Ann Jamieson sparked concern from worried fans after revealing that her car was “hit by a lorry” in a terrifying moment. The 38-year-old, who is most known for playing Amy Barton in the ITV soap, shared the news on Instagram last night, explaining that her friend quickly came to the rescue.
Uploading three photos of her pal, she penned: “Find yourself a friend who will drive half way across Yorkshire to rescue you when you’ve been hit by a Lorry! RIP little red car. Thank you my lovely @oliviabromley_ for being our hero.”
In the comments below, she clarified: “Everyone ok, no injuries thankfully! Cheers for your lovely messages.”

When a commenter took the moment to mention her character in Emmerdale, Natalie couldn’t help quipping: “She also had an incident with a car.”
The star left our screens last year, after six years of playing beloved Amy. In shocking scenes, she plunged into an icy lake after a car crash, and was later rushed to hospital with severe hypothermia.
After an emotional goodbye with on-screen husband Matty Barton, she eventually died of a heart attack. Unpacking her final scene in a chat with Notebook Magazine, she said: “I had been asking for meetings about what was coming up for Amy and saying that I’d really like some challenging, new stuff.
“They knew they had this coming up and they didn’t have anything planned for Amy – and that was the direction that I wanted to go in.
“It worked out that this was going to be Amy’s exit and I didn’t know it was going to be death at first. When they told me, I was like, ‘Oh!’ It’s really hard to know whether you would prefer for your character to die if you’re going, or to go in the back of a taxi.”
“There’s always a chance that you could potentially go back and you’ve got all your friends there and you love to work there,” she added. “However, you are just going in the back of a taxi and the show were like, ‘We want to give her something big.'”
