Troops have arrested a suspected kidnapper believed to have participated in an attack on a Point-of-Sale (POS) operator in Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The arrest was disclosed in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama, who said the operation was carried out on April 21 at about 10:35 a.m. by troops of the 232 Battalion (Tactical) under Operation HADIN KAI during a covert mission in Loko village.

Security sources stated that the suspect was linked to a March 12, 2026 attack on a POS operator in the area, where he was allegedly involved alongside others.

Preliminary findings further indicated that the suspect had been on the wanted list of the Department of State Services (DSS) over alleged involvement in kidnapping-related activities.

Following his arrest, he was handed over to the DSS for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Authorities also confirmed that security operations have been intensified in the area to track down other members of the suspected criminal network still at large.
