Juventus’ long-running interest in Alisson Becker is moving into a more serious phase, with reports in Italy claiming the Liverpool goalkeeper is now open to exploring a switch to Turin.
La Gazzetta dello Sport detail that Juve are working on a three-year contract proposal for the Brazilian, who would be reunited with former Roma coach Luciano Spalletti and handed the task of stabilising a position that has become a major weakness this season.
The Bianconeri’s admiration for Alisson is nothing new. They first began sniffing around after the January window, when doubts over Michele Di Gregorio’s long-term role as No.1 surfaced.
At that stage, any move looked complicated because Liverpool still held a club option on Alisson’s deal – and promptly exercised it, extending his contract through June 2027 and keeping full control over his future.
Gazzetta journalist Filippo Cornacchia reports:
“Contacts with the entourage of the green-and-gold goalkeeper, currently in the pits for a muscle problem, have been positive. Alisson has opened the door to the court of Juventus and in Juventus circles optimism is reported to be growing. An important first yes, obviously not yet enough to reach the finish line, but indispensable and not taken for granted.”
He adds that the contract extension was to ensure that Liverpool do not lose Alisson for free, not to keep off the transfer market:
“In recent weeks Liverpool has taken advantage of the option in the contract to extend the agreement by twelve months, expiring in 2027. A move not to lose the player to zero, not to armor him.”
Alisson’s 2025‑26 campaign has been badly disrupted by yet more muscle problems, adding fresh weight to concerns over his long‑term durability.
The Brazilian has already missed at least nine games through injury, initially sitting out a block of fixtures during September and then suffering another setback in March that forced him to withdraw from Brazil duty and miss Liverpool’s Champions League ties against Galatasaray and PSG.
This season alone he has already been sidelined for roughly a quarter of Liverpool’s matches, meaning the Reds could have a decision to make in the summer if Juventus firm up their interest in Alisson.
