Anthony Gordon is keen to explore his options this summer.

The player has not yet directly expressed to the club that he wishes to depart, but there is a growing feeling that this summer could be the year he moves on.

Newcastle United are currently enduring a hugely disappointing season.

Having lost Alexander Isak last summer and believing they had filled the hole with Nick Woltemade, Eddie Howe finds his side sitting in 14th place with five games to play.

The Magpies currently find themselves on a run of eight losses in their last eleven Premier League matches as their form fades away.

This could increase the chances of Gordon looking elsewhere this summer as he eyes a fresh start.

The Newcastle United forward’s versatility across the frontline is desirable but despite recent reported interest from Liverpool, David Ornstein explained earlier this month that there has been no active pursuit of any kind from the club as of right now.

Anthony Gordon’s form this season has been inconsistent, especially in the Premier League.

He has scored 6 goals in 26 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, but he has impressed in the Champions League, scoring 10 goals in 12 games.

Despite his inconsistent form, he is a standout player for Newcastle United, and the Magpies will start to worry if the player does express a desire to leave.

Many clubs are said to be interested in exploring a deal for Gordon this summer, including Arsenal, but journalist Alan Nixon has revealed what Gordon’s dream destination would be.

Via his patreon, Nixon said: “Anthony Gordon’s dream escape route from Newcastle United is Real Madrid. The England star is open to a move this summer and the move he wants above all other is a switch to the kings of Spain.”

“It might be a huge challenge to get into the side, but Gordon has told pals that Real is his favoured destination.”

“Top Premier League clubs may try and Bayern Munich have been linked, but the Madrid move is the one he really wants.”

“Newcastle will want a huge fee for Gordon who is also keen to be the big sale that the club makes – despite others with one eye on the door to leave.”

Whilst Anthony Gordon may dream of linking up with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold, there has been no reported interest shown from Los Blancos.
