Nathan Tella provided an assist as Bayer Leverkusen secured a 2-1 victory over Cologne at the Rhein Energie Stadion on Saturday.

Czech forward Patrik Schick scored both goals for the visitors in the Bundesliga encounter.

Tella created Leverkusen’s second goal seven minutes into the second half, setting up Schick to complete his brace.

The assist was Tella’s third of the league campaign for Bayer Leverkusen.

The Nigeria international has now made 16 league appearances for the club this season under manager Kasper Hjulmand.

Following the win, Leverkusen remain in fifth position on the table with 55 points from 31 matches.
