Police are looking to speak to 41-year-old Pierre Thompson, from West London, as part of their enquiries into the murder of Simon Whyte – who was shot dead in Brent

The devastated family of a man shot dead in Brent have made a desperate plea for information after police named and released an image of a man they want to speak with over the murder.

Simon Whyte died after being shot on Harrow Road, at the junction with West End Close, Stonebridge on Friday, December 19, 2025.

Police are now looking to speak to 41-year-old Pierre Thompson, from West London, as part of their enquiries.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Mr Thompson is urged to contact the Met Police or independent charity Crimestoppers immediately.

Simon’s wife Simone said: “Simon was my husband of 25 years, my best friend, and my soulmate. I am completely lost and distraught without him. He was deeply loved by our family, and his loss has left a hole in our lives that can never be filled.

“Simon was murdered on the 19 December 2025 at approximately 9.35pm. Since that day, our family has been living with unimaginable grief, heartache and anxiety that his killer hasn’t been found. Every day, we are reminded of the life that was taken from us and the questions that remain unanswered.

“It has now been six months since Simon’s passing, and we, as a family, deserve answers, closure, and justice for Simon. No family should have to endure the pain of losing a loved one without knowing the full truth of what happened.”
