Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa has clarified why forward Kylian Mbappé was substituted during their 1-1 LaLiga draw against Real Betis on Friday.
Reason for Substitution
Mbappé was taken off in the 82nd minute while Real Madrid were still leading 1-0, with Gonzalo García brought on as his replacement.
Speaking after the match, Arbeloa revealed that the France international had been experiencing discomfort during the game.
He said: “I don’t know. He had some discomfort, and we will see how he progresses in the coming days.”
