For Liverpool fans, this season feels like the beginning of the end of an era.
Mohamed Salah continues to deliver, but the reality is now clear.
He has already confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the 2025–26 season.

Egypt secured a dominant 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia in a friendly at the Enmaa Stadium in Jeddah.
The goals came early and often. Islam Issa struck in the 4th minute. Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet added another in the 16th.
Ahmed Sayed Zizo made it three before halftime, and Omar Marmoush sealed it in the 56th minute.
Salah did not feature due to a muscle injury.
Even without him, Egypt looked sharp.
The match was part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup, where Egypt will face Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand in Group G.
This comes after a strong AFCON 2025 campaign.
Egypt topped their group, beat Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals, but fell short in the semi-finals and finished fourth after losing to Nigeria on penalties.
After the match, attention quickly shifted from the pitch to the future of Egypt’s captain.
Hossam Hassan did not hold back when asked about Salah’s next move.
His statement was direct and impossible to ignore.
Hassansaid after the game that, “If Mohamed Salah asks me about moving to the Saudi League, I would tell him I support the decision to play there.”
For Liverpool supporters, that hits hard.
Salah is already set to leave Anfield.
Now, the idea of him heading to Saudi Arabia feels more real than ever.
That comment looked like a clear endorsement from his national team manager.
At a time when Salah is still performing at the highest level, the conversation is no longer about if he leaves.
