Liverpool’s academy is steadily emerging as one of the club’s most important long-term projects. A £20m overhaul of the Kirkby base is set to go ahead, underlining the belief that the next great Anfield era will owe as much to local training pitches and youth tournaments as it does to headline-grabbing transfers.

At the same time, the recent speculation surrounding teenage attacker Joshua Abe – who has caught the eye with his performances and drawn interest from Arsenal and Chelsea – shows how closely Europe’s elite are now monitoring Liverpool’s production line.

That backdrop makes the latest development from the United States particularly intriguing.

14-year-old Noah Dash Allen has reportedly joined Liverpool FC Academy and signed a two-year deal with the Anfield club. The teenager been on the Reds’ radar for some time and recently completed an eight-week trial at Kirkby, where he caught the eye with a goal and an assist against Birmingham City at under-14 level.

A right-sided attacker who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, Dash developed in the Colorado Rapids system after moving from England to the United States at a young age and has previously spent time training with Manchester City’s academy.

His personal coach confirmed the move on social media, writing: “Hugest congratulations to Noah on signing for Liverpool FC from USA to UK. Noah first visited us in Manchester in December 2024 for sessions and following two trips to Colorado to run camps Noah took the plunge to move to Manchester to chase his football dreams. After an eight-week trial Noah has been offered a two-year deal! Congratulations Noah, we know the work has just started to keep chasing the dream.”
