Louis Tomlinson was left cut after former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik hit him during filming for their now axed Netflix show, according to reports

Zayn Malik reportedly cut Louis Tomlinson’s head and left injured after punching his former bandmate. The duo are claimed to have clashed during filming for a three-part road trip.

The Netflix documentary has since been shelved. It was set to try to show the bandmates bonding over past experiences during their rise to fame with One Direction.

The insider claimed to The Sun that Louis was stunned and in shock over a comment made by Zayn, and was attacked when he tried to move. “Zayn punched him straight in the face,” the source went on to claim.

They added: “He was pulled away, and Louis was taken for medical treatment. This happened outside in front of so many people. It was shocking.”

It’s said Louis returned to the UK after the incident, while Zayn returned to his farm in Pennsylvania. And the insider claimed it was Zayn’s comment that really hurt Louis. It made Louis so upset; it was clear there was no way he would ever return to filming with Zayn.”

It’s claimed that the pair are yet to speak again since the alleged incident six months ago. In January, Louis seemingly snubbed any chat of his former 1D pal. In the interview with Billboard, Louis waxed lyrical about his other former bandmates, Harry Styles and Niall Horan.

But he all but ignored any mention of Zayn. After he was asked about their show, Louis said: “It was his idea, actually. I’ll give him credit for that brilliance.”

Louis admitted that the group had become closer following the death of bandmate Liam Payne in 2024. He said: “We are definitely closer than we were.

“It changes from person to person. Like Niall, we could not exchange a text in a whole year and then go for a beer and literally chat non-stop.”

Liam died at the age of 31 after plunging to his death in Argentina. Charges have been brought against a hotel employee and a waiter, but there are many unanswered questions and the star’s family still face an agonising wait to learn the full circumstances of the days and hours leading up to his untimely death.
