Liverpool were back out at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday morning as preparations ramped up for tomorrow night’s Champions League decider against Galatasaray.

With the tie finely poised and tension still lingering from the weekend draw with Tottenham, Arne Slot put his players through their paces in front of the watching media in Kirkby. The focus was as much on who was missing as who was involved.

There was a welcome sight as Alexander Isak continued his comeback from his long-term leg injury. The Swedish striker was spotted working on the grass as part of his individual rehab plan, a clear sign he is edging closer to a full return even if he is not yet with the main group.

However, there was no Joe Gomez in the open session, the defender absent after a gruelling run of minutes in recent weeks. Any definitive update on Gomez will come from Slot himself, who is scheduled to address the media at his pre-Galatasaray press conference at 3:30 pm this afternoon.

Pitt, an 18-year-old defender comfortable across the back line, has been a steady presence for the U21s and offers height and composure in possession.

Ahmed, officially listed as a forward and already a regular source of goals at youth level, has shone for both the U18s and U19s, including a strike in the UEFA Youth League against Galatasaray.
