Ryan Alebiosu has been shortlisted for Blackburn Rovers’ Player of the Season award after an impressive campaign in the English Championship, DAILY POST reports.
Alebiosu joined Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park from Belgian Pro League side Kortrijk last summer as a relatively unknown player, but quickly established himself as an important member of the squad under manager Michael O’Neill.
The 24-year-old right-back’s performances during the season also earned him a call-up to the Nigeria national team for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
However, his involvement in the tournament was limited due to injury, restricting him to a single appearance as the Super Eagles finished in third place.
Alebiosu has since continued to attract transfer interest, with reports linking him with a possible move away from the club.
He is among several players nominated for Blackburn Rovers’ Player of the Season award, alongside Balazs Toth, Sean McLoughlin, Lewis Miller, Eiran Cashin, Sondre Tronstad, Ryoya Morishita, Andri Gudjohnsen, and Yuki Ohashi.
