EastEnders newcomer Jasmine Fisher will be left terrified about her possible prison fate next week, especially when she finds out her twin brother Josh is in Walford

One EastEnders newcomer will be left “terrified” for their future after some bombshell news.

In a no doubt life-altering twist for Jasmine Fisher, she finds out her twin brother Josh and former adoptive mother Sandra are in Walford. After years apart, their sudden arrival amid her possibly being sent to prison leaves her living a “nightmare”.

Sandra recently revealed an incident years ago led to Jasmine being placed in the care of others, while Sandra kept Jasmine. They’ve not seen each other since it seems, but her imprisonment foe killing her biological father Anthony Trueman in self-defence triggered their arrival in Walford.

Actress Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness, who plays newcomer Jasmine, has confessed the news leaves her character terrified. She fears it could lead to her being disowned and replaced by Josh with the Slaters and the Truemans.

Not only that, but we know Jasmine and Sandra share a history, so might Sandra have some things to say that could ruin everything for Jasmine? Indeyarna said: “It’s a huge shock for Jasmine because this is a part of her life that she left behind as a child.

“For them to show up now, after so many years, feels like a nightmare. Sandra and Josh will have their own memories and opinions about what happened, which worries Jasmine as she has no idea what they’ll be saying back in Walford.

“Their words could seriously damage her relationships with both sides of her family, who are still trying to figure out how they feel about her.” She added of Josh visiting Jasmine in prison: “She hears about his arrival on the Square from Zoe, who doesn’t turn up to her visitation.

“When she finds out, it immediately fills her with fear and anxiety because she can’t predict how things will unfold. Seeing him face to face again makes her realise just how long they have been separated for, and their reunion is overwhelming.

“She also worries that history might repeat itself. Zoe missed her visitation because she was with Josh, and that makes Jasmine fear she could be pushed aside.

“In Jasmine’s mind, Josh could take what might have been her place in the family, as she hasn’t had the opportunity to build a relationship with Zoe yet.” Indeyarna also shared Jasmine’s terror at possibly being sent down for murder.

She said: “She’s terrified because she’s facing the possibility of either spending a long time in prison or being found innocent and released; both outcomes feel scary to her in their own right. She knows the truth about what happened and hopes others will believe her, but past experiences have taught her to be wary of hope.

“She’s terrified. She can either face the situation head‑on and take the stand in court, or plead guilty, and accept whatever happens. She’s torn because she’s caught between doing what she’s always done, avoiding the problem and dealing with whatever follows or face the truth head on.”
