Bournemouth have sold several key players over the past two transfer windows, with Dean Huijsen, Ilia Zabarnyi, Milos Kerkez, Dango Ouattara and Antoine Semenyo all departing.
Despite that, Andoni Iraola’s side have continued to push on and remain in contention for European qualification, with Eli Junior Kroupi helping to fill the attacking void left by players such as Ouattara and Semenyo.
Kroupi has been a revelation for Bournemouth this season, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young strikers.
The Cherries signed the 19-year-old from Lorient for €13million in January 2025. The France U21 international has thrived in the Premier League, recently scoring his 10th league goal – becoming just the fourth teenager this century to hit double figures in a single campaign.
His debut season already ranks among the highest-scoring by a teenager, with Wayne Rooney’s 11-goal tally in 2004/05 within reach.
Kroupi officially joined Bournemouth this summer after remaining on loan at Lorient for the second half of last season.
Since linking up with Andoni Iraola’s side, he has quickly adapted, delivering in key matches. With six games remaining, he has the chance to further enhance an impressive debut campaign.
According to the Daily Mail, Kroupi is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Chelsea, as well as teams in Spain. Manchester United are also monitoring the striker ahead of what could be a busy summer at Bournemouth.
Manager Andoni Iraola is set to leave at the end of the season, and further departures are expected as the Cherries prepare for a period of change at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth are reportedly open to a sale and could demand up to £60m for Kroupi as they look to make a significant profit.
Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes’ strong relationship with his former club could aid any potential move, with Kroupi now viewed as another possible major departure from the Vitality Stadium.
Kroupi has significant potential, having impressed in his first season. His dribbling, positional awareness, strength and pace have provided a real boost for the Cherries.
