With countless “The Devil Wears Prada 2” press tour appearances on her schedule, Meryl Streep has been moving at anything but a glacial pace lately.

So to keep her comfortable throughout her many premieres — while still looking Miranda Priestly-level chic — her go-to stylist, Micaela Erlanger, teamed up with Sole Bliss on a line of custom heels.

The result is the Riviera Heel, which fuses Sole Bliss’ comfort-forward features with Erlanger’s “impeccable taste and knowledge of Meryl’s personal style.”

While Streep wore both the black and gold versions on the press tour, the shoe is available in seven colors ranging from nude patent leather to hot pink suede.

Each pair is handcrafted with “triple-layered cushioning that redistributes pressure,” plus a hidden stretch panel that “accommodates bunions and wider feet without anyone knowing,” according to Kay, who came up with the idea for her company after dealing with bunions herself.

These days, she doesn’t want women to have to choose “between looking good and feeling good” — a mission Erlanger was entirely on board with.

“As Micaela Erlanger puts it, suddenly you can give women a heel they can actually wear for a three-hour premiere, a dinner and an after-party,” Kay said.

But while Streep, 76, is a longtime brand fan, the first celebrity to wear Sole Bliss was a different Hollywood icon: Dame Helen Mirren, who’s partial to the Remy Heel.

“We’d launched with just four designs, and within a week she was on the red carpet in our 3-inch stilettos,” the entrepreneur recalled. “I was completely stunned. When someone with access to every shoe in the world chooses yours, you know you’ve got something special.”

The momentum has hardly slowed down in the time since. Everyone from Drew Barrymore to Julia Roberts to Queen Camilla regularly reaches for the brand’s sandals, while Oprah named the Wonder Boot one of her “Favorite Things” in 2024.

“Comfortable, red carpet-worthy heels are our bread and butter, giving women the power to look good and feel good, no sacrifice required,” Kay said. “Once celebrities experience this, they don’t want to go back.”

But while the brand has no shortage of star power, it’s not just a hit with the A-list.

“The calls and emails we receive from customers who tell us they can dance at their daughter’s wedding, or stand through a long working day without pain, are what Sole Bliss is all about,” Kay concluded. “Every woman deserves to feel beautiful and comfortable.”
