Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has launched a new digital platform for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a pro-Tinubu civic organisation, describing it as a central hub designed to communicate government reforms, improve public engagement and counter misinformation.

The unveiling took place on Sunday in Abuja, where Uzodimma, who serves as Director-General of the group, formally introduced the organisation’s website and a wider network of digital communication tools.

According to a statement issued by presidential media aide Tunde Rahman, who is also the organisation’s Director of Media and Publicity, the new platform is intended to strengthen how the administration’s policies and achievements are presented to the public.

At the centre of the initiative is the official website of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, which Uzodimma described as an aggregator platform bringing together policy explanations, reform updates and verified government information in one accessible location.

He said the site would function as more than a static webpage, presenting it instead as a continuously updated platform that offers citizens easier access to official data, policy direction and measurable outcomes of government programmes.

According to Uzodimma, one of the major features of the platform is a live dashboard designed to display key economic indicators and performance metrics in real time, allowing Nigerians to monitor the progress of reforms more clearly.

He said this would help translate complex government activity in areas such as macroeconomic management, revenue generation, infrastructure delivery and social investment into information that ordinary citizens can understand.

The governor also said the platform would be supported by linked social media channels across Facebook, Instagram, X and other digital applications, creating a wider communication network beyond the website itself.

Another feature announced at the launch was an off-site, AI-powered Data Communication Centre. According to Uzodimma, the centre would assist with intelligence gathering, public sentiment tracking and the collection of structured feedback from citizens.

He added that the same system would also be used to identify and respond to misinformation in real time, reflecting the administration’s increasing focus on digital reputation management and narrative control.

Uzodimma said the broader goal of the project was not only transparency but also two-way communication between government and citizens.

He said the system is intended to create direct channels for feedback, participation and informed discussion on national policy priorities, adding that communication should be interactive rather than one-directional.

The launch event drew several political and public figures connected to the organisation and the administration.

Among those in attendance was the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, alongside directors and coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.

Those listed included former PDP spokesman Olisa Metuh as Director of Organisation, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission Chairman Abike Dabiri-Erewa handling Diaspora Affairs, Senator Sani Musa for Special Duties, Dr Nnamdi Maurice Mbaeri for Administration, Sunday Dare for Digital and New Media, and Tunde Rahman for Media and Publicity.

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors was created in late 2025 as a civic mobilisation structure aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Its stated purpose is to build grassroots support for government programmes, communicate policy achievements and coordinate responses to criticism or false claims about the administration’s record.

The platform’s launch comes within a broader political context as preparations gradually build toward the 2027 general elections.

On November 25, 2025, President Tinubu named Uzodimma as a Renewed Hope Ambassador ahead of the national rollout of the Federal Government’s Ward Development Programme.

In that expanded role, the presidency said Uzodimma would also serve as Director-General for party outreach, engagement and mobilisation.

Later, on February 17, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani was appointed Deputy Director-General for outreach, engagement and mobilisation within the same structure.

Those appointments followed the release of the Independent National Electoral Commission timetable setting campaign activities for November 2026 ahead of the 2027 elections.

The launch also comes shortly after Tinubu addressed members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the State House on April 16, where he said no amount of pressure or intimidation would distract him from governing.

At that meeting, the president also criticised political opponents, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, while defending his administration’s direction and economic agenda.

The new digital platform therefore serves both governance and political communication purposes, combining policy messaging, citizen engagement and strategic campaign-era narrative management as the administration looks toward the next electoral cycle.
