The US President has once more boasted about ‘obliterating’ Iran as he claims it is ‘in tatters’ and ‘economic catastrophe’ because of the Strait of Hormuz blockade
US President Trump has claimed that Iran is ‘hanging by a thread’ in his latest rant on Truth Social – boasting that US forces have left their entire navy at the bottom of the sea.
His latest statement, posted on Truth Social on Tuesday evening, comes after Iran rejected Trump’s ceasefire extension and again closed the critical Strait of Hormuz trade route.
Trump said: “For 47 years, they have killed our people, and many others, and taken advantage of every President, except me — And what did I give to them, a Country in tatters!
The rant comes after the president was called a “sucker” by a Wall Street Journal reporter.
The president didn’t take to the insult well and clapped back adding: “me being taken for a “sucker.” Iran certainly doesn’t think so! Neither does anyone else.”
The US has been at war with Iran since February 28, with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, of which 20 per cent of global oil traded passes, causing supply and cost issues worldwide.
A short-term ceasefire is currently in place but the countries are yet to reach a long-term solution, with negotiations expected to re-occur.
The US has imposed a blockade on Iranian ports in the strait in an attempt to choke Iranian trade, lift the closure and pressure negotiations.
Trump also used his post to further insult other US leaders: “Barack Hussein Obama gave them 1.7 Billion Dollars in “Green” Cash, flown in by a Boeing 757 to their leaders, and Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in order to help them on their way to a Nuclear Bomb.
“Other Presidents did nothing to stop them, a BLIGHT on the Office of the Presidency!”
